Sandals/water shoes (foot protection that can get wet)
Polarized Sunglasses
Food, snacks, energy bars
Warm mornings/Hot Days - Light Long Sleeve Shirt and Pants - I suggest being fully covered to help reduce your chances of being burned by the suns harmful rays. Sitting in a kayak is not like standing on a boat, you burn a lot faster being that low to the water.
Cold Mornings/Warm afternoons - Pants, long sleeve shirt, jacket or sweatshirt, boots with warm socks.
Sunscreen - I supply some but you may want to bring your own preferred brand.
SPF chapstick to keep your lips from being burned, or a BUFF head mask
Hat or other form of Sun Protection for your head
If you would like to bring your own Fishing Rod/Tackle you may, but not required
Towel to dry off with

- Frequently Asked Questions -
Q.) Where can we purchase professional fishing Kayaks and or Gear related to kayak Fishing.
A.) The only shop I recommend my clients to is http://kayaksbybo.com/
Q.) Where do we meet on charter day?
A.) All Charters except for "No Motor Zone" charters, will meet at Captain Hooks Bait and Tackle located at 1411 Garden streets, Titusville, FL 32796. NMZ charters will meet at either the East Launch site or Kars Park. This information will be provided upon booking your charter.
Q.) Is Tipping mandatory?
A.) Tipping is not mandatory but is surely appreciated if you enjoyed your charter.
Q.) How do we pay?
A.) Cash is the only form of money we allow unless otherwise arranged.
Q.)Is a deposit required for booking a charter and if so is it refundable??
A.) Deposits are required for any charters booked more than 2 weeks in advance. Cost of deposit will be discussed when booking the date, Credit Card, Money Order, or Checks are the forms of deposits allowed. Deposits are refundable if you cancel your charter with 2 weeks notice or more, If the weather is unsafe for fishing, or if something happens catastrohpically on my end where I cannot make the charter happen as planned. Deposits are not refunded because you don't like the weather. See questions below for more answers to that particular side of the question.
Q.) If its windy will we still be fishing?
A.) Yes unless the winds are blowing more then 20mph in the morning we will be fishing. The beauty of kayaks is we can launch just about anywhere and there is always a spot or 2 to get out of the wind.
Q.) If it is cold will we still be fishing?
A.) Yes we can fish in cold weather but you must come prepared. Proper clothing, Boots, waders, etc. We will fish as long as the temperatures remain above 50degrees. It may be cooler in the morning but the sun will eventually warm things up. We may also choose to start the charter later in the morning instead of first light.
Q.) I have my own kayak and fishing gear may I bring it?
A.) Absolutely you may bring and use your own fishing kayak and gear as long as we aprove it as being appropriate for the type of fishing we will be doing. It will not however change the price of the charter.
Q.) When is the best time of year to book a charter?
A.) Usually the best time to book a charter is anywhere between March thru December as far as weather is concerned. But most of our fish do not migrate out of the area and remain active 90% of the year. Its really just a matter of when would you like to go fishing. I run plenty of charters in January and February for those vacationing from the north you just have to come prepared for the weather.
Q.) Are there lots of mosquitos?
A.) Yes, on calm mornings the mosquitos can be a bit much, but bug spray and getting out into the open waters quickly usually helps deter them away. They can be over bearing for some but I will not refund a charter because of the mosquitos, come prepared.
Q.) What kind of fishing will we be doing?
A.) Our primary goal is sight fishing, but our fishing technique will vary with the conditions. If the conditions are not favorable for sight fishing we will resort to other techniques to make sure we are doing everything possible to get you hooked up to some fish.
Q.) Do you provide transportation from the Orlando attraction areas?
A.) Unfortunately due to insurance reasons we cannot provide the transportation ourselves, we can however arrange for a taxi or limo service to pick you up from your Hotel, Motel, in-laws, or where ever it may be that you are located. The cost of the transportation must be paid by you, we only arrange the transportation to guarantee you end up where you need to when you need to. Please call us for more information.
